1. Who we are (Data Controller)
This website, chicus.ro, is operated by CHICUS CODRIN MARIAN PFA (authorized natural person, Romania), referred to below as "we" or "the operator".

2. What data we collect
- Contact form data — name, email address, company, website, country, what you need help with, monthly marketing budget, annual company turnover, and the content of your message. Providing this data is voluntary and happens only when you submit the form, with your explicit consent (checkbox).
- Analytics data — anonymous traffic statistics via Google Analytics 4 (pages visited, approximate location at city level, device type). Collected only if you accept cookies via the consent banner.
- Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) kept by our hosting provider for security purposes.
3. Why we process your data (purpose & legal basis)
- Responding to your inquiry — based on your consent and on steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(b)).
- Traffic analysis and site improvement — based on your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), given through the cookie banner.
- Security and abuse prevention — legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)), including spam filtering via Google reCAPTCHA.
4. Who receives your data (processors)
- Hosting provider — stores the website and email infrastructure.
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (traffic statistics, only with consent), Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection), Google Fonts (font delivery). Google may process data in accordance with the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with any other third parties.
5. How long we keep your data
- Contact form messages: up to 3 years from the last contact, unless a business relationship begins (in which case data is kept for the duration of the collaboration and as required by law).
- Analytics data: up to 14 months (Google Analytics default retention).
6. Cookies
Cookies are used only after your explicit acceptance in the consent banner. Until you accept, no analytics cookies are set (Google Consent Mode v2 — default "denied").

You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting site data from your browser, after which the banner will appear again.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, write to codrin@chicus.ro — we respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority: ANSPDCP (Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal), dataprotection.ro.
8. Data security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on secured infrastructure with restricted access. Form submissions are protected against automated abuse (honeypot + Google reCAPTCHA).

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The current version, with its date, is always available on this page.
